Museo ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Experience

Few days to go and we're all up to celebrate again the most awaited season of the year, Christmas. Before we get in touch heavily with a lot of gatherings specially Christmas parties where scrumptious foods are not only best serve for the tummy but also for the lens of camera to be post on instagram with a hashtag #foodporn; get busy or the worst is panicking to go hit the mall buying gifts for the chikitings’ and the families; left and right drinking sessions; and above all, the dilemma of rush hour which create havoc to the physical, emotional and spiritual entity of every person due to the capital T-R-A-F-F-I-C, let’s shout and continue to pursue our everyday routine like going to school, jobs and also washing the dishes :p. As for me, life goes on with my practicum including a big change of body clock to 5’o clock so that I can attend on-time my first period class, talk and talk all day long even if I’m forcing too much of my vocal capabilities just to ensure objectives for the day are achieve, do lesson planning and studying every night which take some of my time spending and checking what’s up and about in Facebook and the everyday drama of the people I followed on Twitter, and of course the Friday and Saturday night session with my friends which makes me so intoxicated on how it feels to have a shot of tequila again HAHAHA. Nonetheless, parties are very soon for me and I reckon this as my biggest reward over my past days of teaching.

Well, reality of teaching is still at the tip of my nose so I better stop making day dreams with such and better face reality with paramount degree of positivity. Ever since I first enter the august hall of Manila High School for practice teaching and was deployed under the leadership of Mr. Lui Paltoub, the lesson I first handled was about money sector were evolution of money, different kinds of bank locally and internationally, the role of central bank and others of like are the topic under of which I first taught and get challenged. As usual, luminous incandescent bulb lights up my head and think of something new for my students. I thought of having an educational trip at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas since I see this as a good avenue to best wrapped up our lesson were we actually unfold last week. The idea of BSP Museum tour was first introduced to me by Franz since he knows someone from the BSP who can actually arrange us a tour. Unfortunately, days are fast passing so instead of waiting for a probability of 50-50, I made some move to contact the BSP Museum thru email. How good fate is to me since they happily answered back my queries and immediately booked us. With the blessing of my critic plus of course the department head of social studies and the principal, we are all set to gambol the museum. Before anything else, I together with Jolina went in advance at the BSP museum to arrange and make some final paper submission to their office. We also checked the museum facility ergo, had a tour in advance to discern what the museum can offer for us.

I do not know what is the reason behind the assiduity and effort I exerted just to bring my teaching class at the BSP museum. From drafting the papers, approval from the distinct persons, personal communication and arrangement with BSP personnel’s and above all is the risk I take just to push through with this educational tour. As the lead person who organizes this trip, 300 students are all filed up my shoulders considering their needs and safety over the duration of our trip. On that particular day I do not mind anything else since I just keep on thinking for my students to the extent of not taking my lunch or anything to eat and drink since I’m totally hands-on to every possibility of things for that day.

My endless gratitude also goes to the people who helped me and supported me all the way in bringing safely all the students at the museum specially my #TuesdayObservers (hashtag I use for my observers) from Unibersidad De Manila and my co- student teachers Jolina Santos, Kaye Ocampo and of course Hazel Magsipoc who luckily bring some of her students (which I would like to make another blog post entry if time permits ^_^) together with us. I do not consider any success of this endeavor without this people who tirelessly been at my side all day long.

My day 15 was a well spent day were my voracious approach to this educational tour leads me to exhaustion yet the fulfillment is there since I knew that I brought something new to my students’ perspective in learning and also I have manifested a good strategy to best effectuate our lesson. It’s the culmination of the whole unit of lesson which is out of the reference book since this is an opportunity of an up close observation and interaction in a structure different from and more informal to what we have everyday.

Here’s a peek to our tour inside and outside the museum:

Benilde Model United Nations Experience

Hey! It has been a long while since I last posted here on my blog. I just feel so free this hour and grab this golden opportunity of pounding the keyboard sharing my very first Model United Nations presented by the De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde. I really mean to say “golden opportunity” since I am extremely, exceptionally and exceedingly busy with with more ‘-ly’ on the tons and bulks of teacher stuffs like computation of 2nd grading period grades, test papers to check and record, lesson plan, instructional materials and hundred more of like to say. Yes this are all teacher stuffs since we have been send-off already to our respective practice teaching school concern and has been enjoying and sometimes in blasphemy to the kind of life we are now confronted off due to all this stuffs. Nonetheless, it doesn’t impede us from the privilege of laughing and smiling.

Speaking of smiling and laughing; last November 12 up to 14, I was absent at my classes to attend my very first Benilde Model United Nations. This becomes a platform for me to detoxify all the shit-ness and impurities of life I am always confronting even if I stay away from them all the time HAHAHA. It’s an escape to the life I am missing so soberly with my college buddies and friends from here and there were laughing every second is a must! At this juncture of my life, I experience such things again with my new found buddies from BenildeMUN. My big thanks goes to Joanne from CSB who posted on our Philippine Model Congress Committee 1 page on Facebook all about this stuffs and I try to apply and register then I was given an acceptance letter from the organizing committee that I will be part of this model united nations. I was designated to be part of International Atomic Energy Agency representing Austria. If not of her I will note be experiencing such and more than anything else, I will not be able to meet my new found buddies. How good fate and providence are! Even if the floor is on fire every time somebody will hold on the microphone and be like a ‘girl on fire,’  this doesn't excuse me to engage and found people from different schools and fields of expertise to deal with and have some tete-a-tete. The pictures will then bloviate on my behalf … Enjoy!

Representing Austria at International Atomic Energy Agency is Present and Voting

The floor is getting on fire every time we have a breakout session .. or better to say "unmoderated caucus."

They are busy and we are groupie-ing HAHAHA XD

Who do the best grin ... ear to ear? Present and Voting! HAHA

1,2,3 SMILE

Check how I stand ... does ejusdem generis (of the same class) applies here for me?
Objection!

The informal and the in- formal.

Smile like there's no more tomorrow!

Austria with the clingy, comely and sugary Uganda.

Gone Girl

GONE GIRL. You don't know what you've got til it's ...

After more than four months of exhaustive schooling due to research study, course requirements which are all subsequently of the same deadline to beat so we really need to rush and most of all my dramatic college buddies which always makes the ride worth riding for because of the different cliché that were all overwhelmingly fun of hearing, finally, we are set to indulge our semestral break. The start of this long vacation for many has long been waited for to set different get away plans, reunions and mini parties to celebrate few days of vacation. Adding on the bucket list of reasons to celebrate this break is also about having good grades upon receiving our class cards and of course a boom in ending first semester on our last college years. Gasp, I just can't wait to have my graduation day and end up my college years but before that I still need to fulfill one more semester that concludes my years of extensive education in the field of teaching through the practice teaching. Before my excitement comes to be officially called as 'Sir Eldrin' and discern the feeling every time I stand at the center of every classroom, let me first gratify myself for a few days of stress free and worry free without thinking of how unlucky they're to meet me (just kidding)- by having a good view with different movies and books to overthrow myself out of boredom rather than taking selfies which my social media viewers may just cause such aghast and dismay for their day HAHAHA- and post like: “That selfie ruins my day” or “God, can anybody of you teach him how to use filters when taking selfie.” HAHAHA.

Nonetheless, today I just finished watching one of I may say as a must watched movie of October 2014 which is Gone Girl. To my surprise this is a novel by Gillian Flynn adapted into a movie directed by David Fincher. The story of the movie was impressive adding up how Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) try to bring up and actually create the mystery of the story to his husband Nick Dunne played by Ben Affleck. The impressive story line makes me to pound the keyboard about how they bring up insanity because of love or the effect of love to insanity. What ever of the two, I'm finely sure of how the twist and revelations makes the two-hour movie a must watch movie.

Let's start this by the five years marriage of Amy and Nick. It's just when the boy really don't care of how woman or wife feels over the course of their marriage that something is wrong and their relationship is for actual penetration and manifestation for the becoming of sex. Tell me of how many movies or realities that draws up the story of infidelity that leads at the end to either being separated, imprisoned or murdered. In this movie, from a slight twist of reality comes a great turn over how a wife will desperately becomes logical in creating a puzzle to the mysterious gone of Amy.

Being the gone girl, Amy, for about thirty days that puts Nick into scandalous allegations fabricating him as the most guilty on the gone of Amy jumping into a conclusion by many specially the media that he kills his own wife is absolutely a distressing part for Nick. It was a total turn into his life putting him on the throne of judgment every day of his life as he abdicate an enigma into something he never imagine could come into him one day. Definitely, the puzzle Amy created is impressive out of anguish and desperation to the acts of his husband towards her. A surprising confession of divorce on the day of their five year wedding anniversary turns out into a total scrap as everything was really startled by the gone of the girl. Never envision by Nick, it was now the mysterious case of the gone girl Amy.

Writing on a diary by Amy over the progression of their marriage comes into the latter part of her diary entry the faulty path she is about to fabricate in response to the surprising confession of Nick which is about divorcing. This is the point know of how the viewers can fully comprehend the essence of the investigation without finding any clue that leads to its closing. Absolutely wicked how Amy carefully and indecisively plan every single way of the track on how he can Nick suffer from his own dilemma. Having every single way of evidence pointing out to Nick's actions more or less was throughly bring up like be friending her stupid pregnant neighbor and telling she's pregnant since America loves pregnant woman, draining her toilet bowl for some urine sample from a stupid pregnant neighbor as a specimen for pregnancy test, blood letting from her to disperse from the floor and even in the sink and later on cleaned and furnished as a great means for crime operatives deeper investigation out of direct blood evidence and many more. This were all stupefy as she made it all orderly unto her plans. Having said, there are more things I'm sure you're now excited to unearth from the story even her ex boyfriend were she used as a boy toy and later on killed for the success of her insanity to Nick.

From this movie, I just realized how powerful love can drive to every person specially to the one who give their hundred percent true love to their partners. I therefore conclude that too much love can lead to insanity and insanity can lead to something outrageous. Outrageous to the sense that love will over rate to kill anybody at one's own pleasure. This is a movie of legality, media and psychology. To bring up an erudite work like this one transfuse with so much element of a good movie is something you shouldn't never miss. This has the lesson of how intimate relationship needs healthy communication, respect to one's socio and economic status, counterbalance decisions on different matters specially concerning about family's life and of course the sensitivity each has between each others to fathom because even five years of marriage doesn't guarantee a divine transcendent of love to one another unless you wish to look for more girls after you have a gone girl HAHAHA!

Forgive and Forget

GREEN Rose. The color of forgiveness

I'm pretty much sure that every body is accustom to a famous saying “to forgive and to forget.” In the course of our living existence here on earth, there comes a certain time in our life that we felt broken with our hearts in great lost and souls in great peril. Forming in different ways- parents, friends and lovers relationships- things becomes very hard for us to accept and also to move on. To forget either good or bad memories is awful much more to forgive specially when pride and ego fly over one's mind. A big polarity is when one says “I do” from “I will.” It's like eating every letters of the word without procuring what it exude to say.

To have all of this in context, I believe that it's only a matter of choice to forgive and to forget. It's such a juxtapose to say “forgive them and let go of what happen” when you your self do not know how to work things out. Over the past few months, big gap of indignation and misunderstanding was fabricated that becomes a cause of bigger problems. For me I see it as a problem because I almost frame it on my mind to let go of what we've been through (if there is) and have a common denominator that I and them do not need approval to exist and permission to subsist. This I guess is a good resolution for both parties to make without lengthening the tension anymore. In other words, to put relationship into an end. As easy as that makes at least an ease to the pain both are experiencing (if there is again).

Upon framing my mind to such operation, I realized a lot of things. This are decisions that I'll regret for eternally. It such a bad decision to make simply on the basis of my own emotion. I've become selfish and egocentric without trying to listen and understanding what it takes to be on their position. I did not read between the lines but rather scan every lines because of the emotion that first evince over me. It such a shame to articulate that I allow my emotion to become my master manipulating myself. More over, my weaknesses has inflict great pain to me. Nonetheless, things are not yet over. Its like yesterday that I'm playing with the song 'Starting Over Again.'

While pounding the keyboard for this, I just fathom how immature I am to let such situation rolling for a long time. Maybe because of the reasons I've mentioned but human instinct still runs on my veins (because I'm ¾ animal HAHAHA) to forget things and soon to forgive. Above all, what's more important is that I do something to free out and get lost from the misery I myself has foist. It's hard for me in the first place but as I said, it's only a matter of decision on what's at the tip of our nose. Unleashing your personality once in a while into a different kind of personality unknown from many is not a diminishing factor to your embodied persona. Certainly, it's not a diminishing factor but rather a bonus to the degree of stupendous aura you have that corroborate over the time. With hearts-on-and-minds-on, things will surely be interconnected and ready to compensate to meet the line.

Each day of our life we're confronted with different kinds of dilemmas and quandary where we just wish that all of these things happening will come into its finale. Whether we like it or not, heartaches are all inexorable. This phenomenon happening to us has its own rationale for us to find out. In finding out what the reason behind all of this, let us not forget that this big things makes life worth remembering and worth the ride. Let this be a milestone for us to learn new things and most importantly to reflect also that it takes two to tango. Also remember that problems makes a nonpareil equalizer to life's equilibrium on its humongous astonishment.

Pitch to #BecauseISaidIWould Activity

Two weeks ago since I stand in the very center of this room, I give you an activity which transcends to be a sort of assignment to be posted on Facebook. After a week of hanging and waiting for your crafted “because in said I would”, with the overwhelming response to the call of duty as part of requirements as per the advice of Dean Hicarte, my excitement was given with a due credence that tantamount into a heartfelt and unfeigned gratitude of thanks for all your works. Truly, it is a labor out of love and compassionate heart for your own personal agenda, growth and development and for professional one as well. On a note to the side, I would like to make a very special commendation and acknowledgement to some of the people whom I felt so special and solitary with the eagerness to veritably and genuinely response to my activity and for voraciously acting without hesitation that the activity conforms into something that is for their own ones good. Ladies and gentlemen, with a resounding round of applause help me to thank the following:

  •        Jayd Reignor Pascual- for being the first to post his because I said I would and somewhat becomes the standard caliber and barometer for other works as well. Your work really inspires us all.
  •        Erin Reine Acuna- whose work is so lengthy which is really a product of mind without any doubt that it is her work and is not plagiarized. I appreciate the tedious work you’ve done. Thank you!
  •        Jayson Bautista- the fact that you were not physically present by the time I give the activity, despite that matter, you still makes an effort to produce one. For that, I give you smack dab recognition for that E as in “effort.”
  •        Karen Lapena, Jolina May Santos, Mary Joy Valdez & Rogielyn Tanael- who don’t just make an effort for sharing with us their “because I said I would” but also endeavored to creatively showcase how grandiloquent and magnific they could share to around one thousand Facebook friends their works are.

Upon browsing and reading all your “because I said I would”, if there would be one work that really catches and snaffles my attention, it is the words out of true love. Why true love? Simply because it’s rooted into what kind of person she plays the role now. A role which I believe is as noble as the profession we are all living up and expecting to be in the very near future. It is the work of a person who found herself selfish and later on realized how selfless she could be because of motherhood. Friends, allow me to read her work: I didn't realize how selfish I was until motherhood showed me how selfless I can be. The needs of my son caused me to prioritize things; responsible enough. That's why today I promise to become more selfless and to give the best that I can do: to love my son unconditionally no matter what. I am fully aware that love is the greatest thing i can give than material things. #BecauseIsaidIwould.

And that is from Hazel R. Magsipoc.

Now, to share to all of you the works of others, here is a video clip prepared by our group leader Harriet Rejano whom I said to her- “Amaze me”- as what the food critic said from the Disney Pixar Movie Ratatouille. This is my first time to watch the video clip after two week so together, to Harriet, “Amaze us”.

Once again, thank you very much and of course like what I all posted and commented on your status- Congratulations- for your time even if you have a busy schedule; for your effort even if you have things which you need to prioritize more than posting a status in facebook; for your active participation even if it is out of an equivalent grade as a requirement; and lastly for sharing with us your promises even if it’s too ambitious, go- getting, hard-driving but self- seeking. My humble and unpretentious “Thank You” to everyone.

To those who did not post to make any effort even if it’s too late, I say “Thank You” for you give me a reason to know you even more unto how much you cherish and uphold duties and responsibilities at this very early stage of training to become a good teacher. On a heavy note to the side, I also say “sorry ” to you but you need to seize what Caesar seize.

Even I who give this activity made some effort to at least share my “because I said I would”. I really don’t have the plan anymore to post what’s mine but I feel it’s inequitable if I will not post mine since you guys exerted efforts to response with the call I made to you. Upon reading your works, I become totally blank about my promise for myself. Until few days ago, after having a good tete-a-tete with my classmate, I already frame my mind and come up with one that really took me some time to contemplate first and ponder points whether I can make it or not. The feeling that I am the guiltiest person with all my words and actions drives me to craft mine and hopefully make humpy dumpy put together again after the great fall. So friends, I share to you with trembling knees and butterflies in my belly my-- because I said I would:

“I promise to talk with my blockmates whom I feel I intimidate them with my words and actions over the past few days and afterwards create an environment which is free from distress and adversity. I promise to make this until first week of September candidly and without equivocation because I said I would.”

Well, I have a high wish for me to fulfill this one with my cross fingers and all I can say: SO HELP ME GOD

To end this, 3 words- Remember Your Promise- and hopefully, I will not be a frivolous and foolish to say- Oh, I’m sorry.  I thought you meant what you promise. Silly me.

Remember like your promises, be the living testament to do your best and let God do the rest.

Thank You!
